1. Acceptance of the Terms
Using the Leaf service constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree to the terms, please stop using the service.
A customer who joins a business's loyalty program accepts the terms by clicking the join button. There is no separate checkbox — the click itself is the acceptance, and it is recorded together with the time of acceptance, and the version and language of the documents.
A business owner who registers for the service agrees to these terms by registering and using the management interface, and is responsible for ensuring that employees who use the system on their behalf also act in accordance with them.
2. Definitions and Roles
In these terms:
A card is associated with one business only. A customer who has joined two businesses holds two separate, independent cards, and punches or rewards on one do not affect the other.
- Leaf — the operator of the platform. Leaf provides the technology system through which the business manages its loyalty program.
- The business — Leaf's business customer, which operates a loyalty program for its customers. The business determines what earns a reward and what the reward is, writes and sends the messages to its customers, and is the party the customer deals with.
- Customer — an end customer who has joined the loyalty program of a particular business and holds a digital loyalty card.
3. Description of the Service
Leaf is a SaaS platform for managing digital loyalty programs for businesses. The service includes:
Opening an account for a new business requires approval by the system administrators. Until approval, the management interface does not open.
The service has no online payment or billing mechanism. The commercial arrangement with Leaf, if any, is conducted outside the system.
- Managing the business's customer list, recording punches and redeeming rewards.
- A digital loyalty card for the customer, which opens in the browser and can also be saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Identifying a customer by scanning a QR code or by searching by phone number.
- Sending marketing messages to the digital card, to customers who have given their consent, including segmentation into target audiences according to the customer's activity patterns.
- A birthday reward, if the business has chosen to enable it.
- Reports and activity analysis, and management of employee accounts.
4. User Account
- You are responsible for keeping your access credentials confidential.
- The account may not be transferred to another party without written approval.
- Contact details must be updated when they change.
- The business owner may create employee accounts with limited permissions. An employee can identify customers, punch a card, redeem a reward and undo an action — and has no access to reports, settings, employee management or sending campaigns. The business owner is responsible for the accounts they create and for the actions performed through them.
5. Trial Period
The trial period is 30 days from the date of registration.
Toward the end of the period, and upon its expiry, an email is sent to the business at the address provided at registration.
Continued use of the service after the trial period ends is subject to a commercial arrangement with Leaf. Leaf may discontinue access to an account that has not been arranged.
The data of the business and its customers is not deleted automatically at the end of the trial period. A request to delete data is handled upon a proactive request, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.
6. Permitted Use
- The service is intended for lawful business use only.
- The service may not be used for fraud, spam, or harm to a third party.
- You may not attempt to bypass the system's security mechanisms.
- You may not present customers with a misleading reward or a reward that you do not intend to honor.
7. The Digital Card in the Wallet
The customer can save the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Saving to a wallet is an option, not an obligation — the card can also be used directly from the card link in the browser.
Card updates — a punch, a reward redemption or a new message — are delivered to the device through Apple's and Google's services. Leaf does not control the availability of these services, the update rate, or the way the notification is displayed on the device, and cannot guarantee that an update will reach its destination.
The notification the customer sees is generated by the wallet app following a card update. Leaf does not send customers browser notifications, SMS messages or marketing emails.
A customer who has not saved the card to an active digital wallet will not receive campaign messages. Saving the card to a wallet is solely the customer's choice.
8. Marketing Messages — Business Obligations
Campaign messages are written, approved and sent by the business. Leaf provides the tool only. Responsibility for the content of the message, the accuracy of the reward presented in it, and compliance with the legal requirements applicable to sending advertising material — including Section 30A of the Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law — lies with the business as the advertiser, and not with Leaf.
Withdrawal of consent is done by the customer themselves, on the card preferences screen, and applies to subsequent sends. The business may not bypass the consent mechanism.
- Messages are sent only to customers who have given explicit consent to receive marketing mailings. A customer who has not given consent, or who has withdrawn it, is not included in the target audience.
- Every campaign is written and approved manually by the business owner. The system has no automatic campaigns, drip sequences or pre-scheduled sending.
- Sending takes place between 08:00 and 21:00 Israel time. A campaign approved outside this window waits in the queue and is sent in the next window.
- Frequency limit: by default, one send per business every seven days. The system administrators may adjust the limit for a specific business.
- Length limits: a title of up to 120 characters, and a message body of up to 300 characters.
- A send can be canceled within two minutes of its start. After that, the message is already on its way and cannot be canceled.
- The message is displayed on the digital card for seven days and then removed from it.
- The message must clearly identify the sending business and must not be misleading.
9. Birthday Reward
A business may enable a birthday reward for its customers. The reward is granted once per calendar year to each customer, at the start of their birth month, and is valid until the start of the following month.
The reward is part of the loyalty program and is not conditional on consent to marketing mailings. A customer who has not provided a date of birth does not receive it.
Expiry of the reward at the end of the period is not accompanied by a notification — the reward is simply removed from the card.
The date of birth is recorded once only and cannot be changed afterward on the card preferences screen.
10. Manually Added Customers
The business can add a customer to the system itself — for example a customer who signed up at the counter — based on details the customer gave it.
On this path the system does not capture consent from the customer: a manually added customer is marked as not having consented to marketing mailings, and is not included in the target audience of campaigns unless such consent has been given.
Responsibility for ensuring that the details were collected and passed to the system lawfully and with the customer's knowledge lies with the business.
11. Liability and Availability
Leaf provides the service "as is". We use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the availability and continuity of the service, but we do not guarantee continuous, error-free or maintenance-free availability.
Leaf shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from an interruption of the service.
The content of the reward, its availability and its actual honoring are the responsibility of the business. Leaf operates the platform and is not a party to the reward that the business offers its customers.
Delivery of updates and notifications to the digital card depends on Apple's and Google's services and on the customer's device settings, and is not under Leaf's control.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction: the courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
